The brewery takes its name from the laid-back lifestyle of the Appalachian Trail thru-hikers, or "lazy hikers," who take their time to enjoy the journey. The ethos to “enjoy the journey”  is reflected in the brewery's approach to brewing, where ingredients and parts are sourced from far and wide to ensure premium quality.

Located in the former town hall and fire department, Lazy Hiker Company’s Franklin location includes a taproom, an outdoor patio, disc golf, and an outdoor event space. Innovation Brewing Company:

Though not technically located in Franklin, we couldn’t leave this one out! Located in Sylva, North Carolina, Innovation Brewing Company takes its name from its commitment to innovation and creativity in brewing. The brewery is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional beer by evolving and crafting new and unique styles. 

With 3 locations across Jackson County, Innovation has integrated itself into the community. The largest location in Dillsboro serves as a taproom and event space, making it perfect for hosting large events like a wedding. However, we hold the original Sylva location dear to our hearts.
